Michael has authored hundreds of articles, including pieces for Animation World, Byte, Computer Graphics World, Computer World, Electronic Musician, Network Computing, Network Magazine, PC Magazine, Publish, The Internet Eye, Videography, Web Developers Journal, Webtools, and several newsletters published by the Patricia Seybold Group in Boston.
He has created animations for the Web and television.
As a songwriter and musician, he has performed with Sharon Abreu throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Includes creating Titanic Island animation – Reggie the reggae penguin grooving and strumming to Sharon Abreu’s “Titanic Island” song, as the ocean engulfs his island home, due to global warming. Also created the initial animation showing two penguins on a melting ice block.

--With Sharon Abreu, performed original music at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg, South Africa.
-- With Sharon Abreu, created The Great Climate Caper, a musical about global climate change. Produced a special performance on Orcas Island in Washington State to address the unique ecology of the San Juan Islands.
-- Contributed to Sharon's CD “Seeking Sanctuary” as a songwriter, vocalist, guitar and bass player. An upbeat mix of folk-pop anthems, ballads and soaring spiritual showstoppers, the CD was released in December, 2002.
-- Wrote a book: “Special Edition Using Macromedia Flash MX,” published by Que.
-- Created ecoball Flash-based computer game, in which you try to create a balanced ecosystem before global warming does you in.

Performed original music with Pete Seeger and Sharon Abreu in New York.
1999
With Sharon Abreu, co-wrote Turn the World Upside Down, an interactive musical show based on the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater Classroom of the Waves, teaching young people about recycling and keeping the water clean. The duo performed the show at the New York Aquarium with Emmy winner Bill Nye The Science Guy, on Manhattan and Brooklyn cable television and in the New York City public schools through the Brooklyn Arts Council.
