I started out freelancing for the technical trade press in around 1989. I've had a great time diving into topics ranging from video streaming and local area networking to wide area networking and Web graphics. I enjoy learning about new technologies and finding ways to explain them that normal people can actually understand. Special interests include streaming media, Flash, Web3D, ColdFusion, wireless technologies and security.
Since 2002, I've been dividing my time between arts-based environmental education (music, video, web development) with Irthlingz, documentation for Orcas Net, online video tutorials for VTC, and the occasional article for a site like Creative COW or a magazine like Streaming Media.
My most recent creative writing project is The Meltese Dodo.
